Day 23 – June 23/10 – Happy Birthday Shannon!

Today is a lot of things, it’s day 23 of the 30-Day Sweat Challenge, it’s the start of the final week of the challenge, it’s hump day, it’s going to be sunny and warm and it’s also Shannon’s birthday.
I should be sore today and this scares me…is it going to be the delayed type that kicks in tomorrow and I will not be able to get out of bed? This morning I get to do something that I am only able to do when I am on vacation, take someone else’s class, different moves, different muscles, so I know tomorrow is going to be ugly. My entry for today is a 60-minute ass kicking by Christine!

Update: When I arrived at the Leisure Centre this morning to find Christine in her weight room supervisor uniform is was disappointed, but when I found out that Sarah was teaching the class I was pretty happy. She has subbed my classes in the past and I have had rave reviews…well she did not disappoint. She is a bit of a meanie too! The class was a mix of step, cardio, boxerift, weights and boot camp. When I left the class I was out out of breath and water! I also committed a major boo-boo by taking someone’s “spot” in the class, without apology or incident I was squeezed out. Don’t mess with those aerobic girls

I enjoyed a beautiful 1 1/2 hour walk on the dikes in Maple Ridge this morning.
1hr run, than a spin class.. I was thinking about doing that class downstairs but chickened out and stuck to what I know- the spin class.. I have heard great things about that class.
40 minute taper run….of course everything hurts isnt that always the way before a race!
still not feeling to great but did 30 minutes of pilates and some extra arm work.
Did a 5k walk with the Running Room Weight Watchers Walk It! people (supporting my mom) and there was a huge turnout
Took about an hour
Life style activity, looked after 5 kids today, went shopping at supper time with my daughter and bought too much food, some gardening.
90 min hot yoga
35 minutes with my 5k clinic.
1hr.25min. walk on dyke with Connie …wonderful!
Did 30 mins. of legs which included lunges, squats, hamstrings and quads. Moved on to a spin class after
that.
In the evening I tried for the first time a Hatha Yoga class…interesting. I will try it again.
keep doing the stairs thing..
I know I only sweated cause of the weather.. and going to my new class in the am and 4 H in the pm for 2.5 hrs!!
I know I wont win this !!!!! but I love my comitment to blogging!!! that is soooo cool

1 hour lacrosse and garage ball hockey with the boy.
